Zpush is free and works nicely until you have a lot of different devices
and as many bugs. We added some caching and loadbalanced it easily as it is
http but php version sure has an impact on performance.

With about 1000 users we used zpush for 4 years then zextras zxmobile since
2016 with 2000 users. I should have switched to zxmobile sooner because
updates appart and some device related bugs I have nothing to do anymore.
We kept our caching system to reduce Zimbra load.
