Would it make it more manageable to have z-push dockerized, so you can still have
it on the same server as Zimbra?

Would that make it easier on upgrades?

What is your experience with z-push on Zimbra upgrades?

Also- how do you manage the clients and solve sync issues?

Nowadays with PHP FPM and php7 it's not bad. I've an installation with 50 users, some with Outlook (2013, 2019 & EAS is not supported) and it's behaving. Sometimes I have overload problems, but mostly manageable.
The best is probably to have zpush on a different host than Zimbra. 

What else do you use Zextras Mobile?
