Heya,
I encountered the same error. As far as I understood, google wants to
enforce the use of OAuth2 with activesync, raising these obnoxious
errors when username/password authentication is used. So far, I have not
found any work-around, I'm afraid this won't be fixable without
implementing OAuth2...
