Bugzilla did not work that well for the last 6 years. 

That said, it is still needed in case the community provides a patch over 
a pull request on Github. We must than reference the Bugzilla ticket. 


What worries me more, is that references in the code, and in the changelog 
now refer mostly to ZCS- numbers (or something) that point to the closed bugtracker. 
That way we no longer have insight on what changes where made and 
why. Down the road, this will make debugging a little harder. 

Bugzilla tickets basically only get traction if large customers make cases on 
them. Example, the blank mail bug, was reported 1,5 years before it was fixed, 
and it was only fixed because people needed to move of 8.6. 

It could have been fixed proactively... in the end it is a matter of resources.

There's been no movement on having any sort of bug reporting system for the OSS version of Zimbra that I can see nor do I have any hope seeing it implemented.
