Right, and for me personally that would be a strong argument against
CLA.  Because I want to have a say in such discussions with the power to
veto a change I do not agree to when it comes to my contributions.

A CLA could in a license change situation just as well be from GPL to a
BSD license too, which I strongly would object to.  (Why is an an
entirely different discussion we can have elsewhere)

So from a contributors point of view, a CLA more often weakens the
contributors possibility to have a say to how the contributions are
being used and managed.  Which I personally think goes against the
openness and transparency values you most often find in open source
based projects.
