Why would we need a CLA to begin with? I generally find CLAs usually
pretty useless. I recommend reading this article on this topic by
Bradley M. Kuhn:

Another point is that a CLA may be an obstacle for some employees in
some companies to contribute - as they may not be allowed to sign such
agreements without a formal in-house process first.
As Kuhn suggests, having a good license often invalidates any need for
a CLA.
