<html><body><div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000"><div>Hello Everyone,</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>I wanted to share the news of a format change for the weekly Zeta Alliance calls.&nbsp; As you may already know, we meet weekly ( <a href="https://zetalliance.org/contact/">https://zetalliance.org/contact/</a> ), every Tuesday throughout the year to discuss a range of agenda-driven topics related to Zimbra.&nbsp; Agenda items ( <a href="https://nextcloud.zetalliance.org/index.php/s/q7xK4if6zxaBAiR">https://nextcloud.zetalliance.org/index.php/s/q7xK4if6zxaBAiR</a> ) are sometimes prepared in advance by call participants, or added to the agenda during a call.&nbsp; Most agenda items tend to be Zimbra operational issues that participants are experiencing &amp; seeking group feedback on, general commentary on Zimbra, current Zimbra security concerns, and of course new or changing features in Zimbra as versions are released.&nbsp; Agenda items near always have an owner who leads the discussion on their item.&nbsp; Both myself and Mark Stone have been volunteering for the last few years to co-host the weekly Zeta Alliance calls, and we tend to average around 5-10 participants presently per call with calls averaging in duration from 30 - 90 minutes.&nbsp; Call participants tend to be Zimbra administrators operating Zimbra in a service provider environment, for a private organization, or personal use.&nbsp; We've had occasional drop-ins by Zimbra employees in the past.</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>The Zeta Alliance call participants have voted to experiment with a format change suggested for the weekly calls.&nbsp; We will be continuing with our open call agendas focused on Zimbra as normal, where any call participant may add agenda items for discussion during a given week, but starting with this week's call (Tuesday, September 8, 2026), the agenda will be followed by a pre-announced topic on the Zeta Alliance mailing list and in the Community News section of the Zimbra Forums (<a href="https://forums.zimbra.org/viewforum.php?f=9&amp;sid=4abd8a77e7edc70a4795f6f70e8a714c">https://forums.zimbra.org/viewforum.php?f=9&amp;sid=4abd8a77e7edc70a4795f6f70e8a714c</a>).&nbsp; Topics will be selected to solicit greater group participation by adding more diversity of voices to the mix, in recognizing the highest quality discussions occur when many viewpoints are present.&nbsp; These topics need not necessarily be only about Zimbra, but can be sufficiently broad in scope to encompass any topic related to the email industry.&nbsp; We will be starting modestly by having a group discussion of a new topic on every other week's call, and if successful, eventually shift to weekly group topic discussions.&nbsp; Our intent is to record the discussion of a given week's topic and to post it publicly so that anyone who could not attend the call has the opportunity to listen in as a kind of mini-podcast format.&nbsp; The location for publicly posted recordings will be announced when available.&nbsp; However, as normal, there are no plans to record the weekly discussion of agenda items, as call participants have voted they prefer the current non-recorded format, so you must attend in-person to listen in. :)</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>Join us for this topic for the Tuesday, September 8, 2026 call:</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>From electronic messaging's modest beginning in the 1970s on ARPANET, later evolving in to the SMTP standard in the early 1980s, modern day email has come a long ways.&nbsp; Through commercialization of the Internet in the 1990s, leading up to near ubiquitous global connectivity today, email's ongoing evolution is far from complete.&nbsp; What is the biggest problem with email today that nobody is solving?</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div data-marker="__SIG_PRE__"><div><div><div><span style="color:rgb( 255 , 102 , 0 );font-weight:bold"><br>Randy Leiker (</span><span style="font-weight:bold"> <span style="color:rgb( 51 , 51 , 255 );background-color:rgb( 255 , 255 , 255 )">randy@skywaynetworks.com</span> <span style="color:rgb( 255 , 102 , 0 )">)</span></span><br><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 153 )">Skyway Networks, LLC</span><br><br></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
