The migration step that modifies the schema of the mail_items table would fail part way through, but not at exactly the same place on each mailbox server. Of course once it fails, your upgrade is toast. </div><div><br></div><div>The actual migration step that was failing though was introduced long before 8.7, and when we did a test upgrade to 8.6 last February, it worked. So to work around the issue, I upgraded each mailbox server first from 8.0.7 to 8.6, and then from 8.6 to 8.7.
