[Users] Errors on official forums

David,

Like I said, it's really bizarre and the error messages are nothing I've ever seen before. I've been getting bounce-backs saying email addresses (NOT IP's) are blocked/listed in spamhaus:

Additional information follows :
-- 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Sender address [cinnamon.barnes at synacor.com]
blocked using dbl.spamhaus.org

I can't remember ever seeing a message like this before. At no point has any IP, email address, or domain that I've gotten blocks/bounces for been listed with spamhaus, despite the error message clearly indicating that spamhaus is blocking it due to their listing. But now this has been reported internally, as well as by several external organizations (and some customers and partners have indicated that their customers are seeing it as well, and none has actually been listed as far as I've seen). Something odd is going on with Spamhaus, for sure.

Tony

Hi Tony,

what I don't undertand is that the two IP I used can not be in SpamHaus at all.
They don't send mails.

Home IP cannot send mail because everything's locked up (firewall on my side and operator's CPE blocks tcp:25).
The server I used doesn't even have a MTA.

And as I said, SpamHaus doesn't have the IP in its blacklist (when you follow the link that appears on the forum).
Last time I had such issues with a RBL, it was a broken resolver on my side.

David
