Hello Folks,
I am working on the MTA part of the Zimbra Mailinglist crowdfunder, and would like your advice.
What I try to do, is make Zimbra DL's sent mail the same way as mailman.
Aka:
Return-Path: users-bounces at lists.zetalliance.org
Received: from [::1] (port=53390 helo=server1.openfactory.ch)
by server1.openfactory.ch with esmtp (Exim 4.89)
( envelope-from <users-bounces at lists.zetalliance.org> )

Subject: Re: [Users] Does anyone knows how to setup 2FA on Open source? We
Errors-To: users-bounces at lists.zetalliance.org
Sender: "Users" <users-bounces at lists.zetalliance.org>
So what trick is used to change the envelope from? In red.
Noah Price tells me that on top of that we should change to From header to `From: users at lists.zetalliance.org`
for dmarc alignment.
So far what I can make Zimbra do is add headers based on the To: header. So I can add
stuff like Sender: ,Errors-To:, and List-Unsubscribe:. But the first 2 of those
are not standard so I expect them to do noting much.
My question for you guys, how can I influence the Return-Path and/or envelope-from in Zimbra?
Is this something that can be done with postfix? So far I looked into postfix_header_checks
while that allows me to insert the headers and rewrite to:, I cannot change from: that way.
Also looked into amavis (little desperate), that does allow adding tags to subject I guess.
So if anyone has some pointers where I should look, let me know, otherwise I have to dig
some more. There is a zimbraAutoSubmittedNullReturnPath... does does allow to change
the return path to <> for auto-replies... not sure where that hooks into though.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
