My advice will be to wait to the COMMIT event in NYC, or attend if possible, see the agenda:

    * [ http://info.zimbra.com/zimbra-commit-2017 | http://info.zimbra.com/zimbra-commit-2017 ]

All the github code, how to contribute to the code, community agreements, the new Zimbra versions, with some interesting stuff like UI, new integrations! etc, will happen and be presented there, and some of the points, if not all except the bugzilla, will be addressed there.

That's my advice.

Also, since January this year we have two PM/PO for different parts of the product:
Michael Medellin

    * Platform: Managed Services, Zimbra Platform, Zimbra SE and SCAPI

Jorge de la Cruz, me

    * Apps: Zimbra Web UX, Zimbra Desktop, ZCO and Migration Tools

We are committed to every two weeks Maintenance Release (mainly bugs and patches) and every quarter Feature Release (where we add new stuff)

The Maintenance Releases includes most critical bugs, in votes, number of support cases, etc. We have years and years of bugs, and have all them fixed tomorrow is not doable, what it is, is to keep the speed where we can have around 6-10 Bugs per Maintenance Release, which will end into 138-230 Bugs fixed/year, plus all the ones fixed in every Feature Release, which mainly includes features, but also bug fixes too. When we open the code to the public in March, that will allow us even more speed in have things get done and merged into the code.

I told you this process has started in January, we are having a better communication, more grooming sessions, and sprint ceremonies, and in a better order than in the past, but again, it's just February.

For Feb 16th we have 8.7.3 ready, Release Notes here [ https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.7.3 | https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.7.3 ] yes, I know we haven't taken the Calendar bug, but that's fully commited for the 8.7.4, in another two weeks. This can't be perfect, but again because the speed, and because we are kind "new engine" we can have this issues at the early beginning, but this will lead to a better, faster and more reliable deliver process.

If you want still to raise the document to Synacor, you can always do of course. But raise it, and have the answer already in the NYC event will not have the same impact, as you can raise it before, and then need to correct it after the event or raise maybe other new topics? it's my opinion.

If you can, I recommend you to assist to the event, if not, we will have it recorded hopefully, and fully covered on Blogs, etc.

Best regards

I've taken the rough draft from the last agenda on the topic of Bugzilla and other issues and put them below. I've also restructured it so it's in a
Problem-Recommendation-Benefit format. Please feel free to add, edit, or include document comments. This Thursday, we can discuss if it's something we still should share formally with Synacor/Zimbra.
