I can confirm that there is no header added, and from in the message source does
not reflect who actually sent the email.

So NO, by default the audit trail would be no good.

I will add it to the document.

I agree, a very good and useful write-up.

Do you know if the e-mail that is put into the "child" Sent folder
gives any indication of who sent it?  We need to have accountability
by person for communications.  This has prevented us from using any
kind of common account for multiple people.

Also, if the accounts are archived, which archive (or archives) would
e-mail be stored in?
